Visalia, California (December 11, 2019) – A pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in Visalia has been identified as 30-year-old Desiree Alonzo of Visalia.

The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at about 10 p.m. December 6, on Dinuba Boulevard near Ferguson Avenue.

Alonzo was walking along Dinuba Boulevard when she stepped into the path of traffic and was hit by a southbound car.

Alonzo was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries on Monday, December 9.

The driver of the involved car, 30-year-old Devin Warren of Visalia, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No further information about the accident was provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
