Authorities say 2 Wisconsin High Schools Closed for ‘Serious and Specific Threats’

Middleton Highway Schools Closed for ‘Serious and Specific Threats

Two Wisconsin high schools remain closed Wednesday after authorities said ‘serious and specific’ threats were posted on social media.

According to the Middleton-Cross Plains School District, Clark Street Community School and Middleton High School will be closed Wednesday following the threats.

The school district did not, however, disclose the nature of the threats but said they were specific to the two schools.

The threats were made on Instagram, authorities said. The police are working with Instagram to identify the account.

The school district said elementary and middle schools will be open as scheduled but with an increased police presence.
