Stockton, California (December 9, 2019) – 50-year-old Ronald Baoanan Esperanza of Stockton and
25-year-old Eduardo Ramirez of Thornton have been identified as two people who
were killed in a head-on collision on Sunday afternoon in Stockton.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 4:30 a.m. December 8, on Highway 12 west of Interstate 5.
Ramirez was reportedly driving a red Nissan
Altima eastbound on Highway 12 when he drifted across the double-yellow lines
for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a westbound gray Nissan Sentra
driven by Esperanza.
Both drivers who were the only occupants in
their vehicles died in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol believes alcohol
and drugs were factors in the crash.
No further information concerning the incident
The accident remains under investigation.
