Six fighters were wounded after rockets struck an Iraqi military base near the Baghdad International Airport, the authorities said on Monday.
The military conducted a search after the incident and recovered a rocket launcher and several rockets in the area.
Although there was no immediate claim of responsibility, the incident was the latest in a series of attacks aimed at military installations.
Two Katyusha rockets landed inside Balad air base last week Thursday but no casualties or damage were reported following the attack.
In a separate incident, five rockets landed at the Ain al-Asad airbase on Tuesday last week. The base hosts US forces in Anbar province in western Iraq. No one was injured.
