San Diego, California (December 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday
evening near Old Town in San Diego, the police said.
The fatal accident
occurred at around 5:56 p.m. on Interstate 8 Freeway near Taylor Street.
As per a local news
report, a pedestrian was walking westbound on interstate 8 Freeway when a
vehicle hit him for unknown reasons.
The unidentified pedestrian
sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the
vehicle was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Several westbound
lanes were closed after the accident to allow authorities examine the scene.
An investigation into
the accident is ongoing.
