Bakersfield, California (December 8, 2019) – 30-year-old Paul Padilla has been identified as the man who was injured in a car crash that killed two people in Bakersfield on Saturday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened on Highway 14 near Robbers Roost at about 2:04 a.m. December 7.
Fernando Ramirez, 33, of Burbank was reportedly driving a Toyota Tacoma when he collided with a sheriff’s patrol.
Ramirez and his passenger identified as Michael John Ferialdi, 33, also of Burbank, were killed in the accident.
Padilla, who was also riding in the Tacoma, was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Sgt. James Anton who was riding in the patrol car was hospitalized in unknown condition.
No other information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
