Bakersfield, California (December 7, 2019) – Two men who were killed in a car accident in Bakersfield, Kern County, on Saturday morning have been identified.
The fatal car crash occurred at about 2 a.m. December 7, on Highway 14 near Robbers Roost, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said 33-year-old Fernando Ramirez and his passenger, 33-year-old Michael John Ferialdi, were traveling in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma when they collided head-on with a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle driven by Sgt. James Anton.
Ramirez and Ferialdi, both residents of Burbank, were killed in the accident.
A 30-year-old Burbank man who was riding in the Tacoma was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Sgt. Anton was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
No other information was provided.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
