Wally Driskell Killed in Car Crash on Bethel Island Road near East Cypress Road in Oakley


Oakley, California (December 6, 2019) – 69-year-old Wally Driskell was identified as the man who died days after a car accident that occurred in Oakley late last month.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6 p.m. November 27, on Bethel Island Road near East Cypress Road.

Driskell was driving a Dodge sedan on Bethel Island Road when he collided head-on with a second vehicle for unknown reasons.

Driskell sustained major injuries and was flown to John Muir Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

 A pregnant woman and a second person who were riding in the second vehicle sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Sutter Delta Medical Center for treatment.

No other information was provided.                                                                

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
