Auburn, California (December 5, 2019) – 74-year-old Richard Leader was seriously injured in a fatal multi-vehicle collision that happened on Wednesday afternoon in Auburn.

The fatal accident happened at around 1 p.m. December 4, on Highway 49 near Cramer Road.

As per a local news report, a man was driving a Volkswagen on the roadway when he collided head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup truck for unknown reasons.

The Volkswagen then collided with an Acura RDX being driven by Leader.

The unidentified Volkswagen driver was killed in the crash.

Leader was rushed to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

The truck driver was not injured.

The police are investigating the cause of the collision.
