15-Year-Old Injured in Porterville Pedestrian Accident on Matthew Street


Porterville, California (December 5, 2019) – A juvenile pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Porterville on Wednesday night.

According to a report by the Porterville Police Department, the accident happened in the 1500 block of north Mathew Street at about 10 p.m.

The authorities said a 15-year-old was jogging in the area and was hit by a Honda Civic.

The unidentified pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in critical condition.

The patient was later transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital.

Information about the involved motorist was not immediately provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident is ongoing.
