Salinas, California (December 5, 2019) – A 9-year-old child was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Salinas on Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report.
The accident was reported at about 5:10 p.m. on Highway 110 near Potter Road.
According to the report, a gray Nissan sedan and a white Dodge Ram 3500 pickup were involved in the crash.
The impact of the collision sent the Nissan about 30 feet off the roadway, where it sustained a broken axle.
The authorities said a 9-year-old passenger in the Nissan suffered major injuries.
The unidentified child was flown to a local hospital for treatment.
