1 Killed in Car Crash on 5 Freeway near 10th Street in Balboa Park, San Diego


San Diego, California (December 4, 2019) – One person was killed in a car crash in the Balboa area of San Diego on Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:14 a.m. on 5 Freeway near 10th Street.

The authorities said a silver Honda CRV was traveling on the freeway when it hydroplaned and crashed into the center divider.

The Honda then traveled across lanes and triggered a chain-reaction collision involving a Ford Escape and four other vehicles.

One person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased was not publicly disclosed.
