Suisun City, California (December 4, 2019) – 50-year-old Victoria Morfidis-Florentino has been identified as the pedestrian who was hit and killed by a car in Suisun City on Sunday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened Highway 12 at Marina Boulevard at about 7:28 p.m. December 1.

Morfidis-Florentino, a resident of Fairfield, was walking in a crosswalk when a vehicle struck her.

The pedestrian was trapped underneath the vehicle before the paramedics rescued her.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No further information was provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
