Santa Rosa, California (December 4, 2019) – A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being hit by a car in Santa Rosa on Monday morning, according to a local news source.

The pedestrian accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. December 2, on Santa Rosa Avenue near East Robles Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol said the man, identified only as Ming Jia, was crossing the street when he was hit by a sedan driven by Usha Humagain, 35, of Santa Rosa.

The pedestrian suffered head and face injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The motorist was unhurt.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
