Petaluma, California (December 4, 2019) – Three people were injured in a traffic collision involving a big rig in Petaluma on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 12:45 p.m. December 3, at Lakeville Highway and Stage Gulch Road.
Karim Ozlati, 86, of Sonoma, was driving a car on the roadway and was attempting to make a turn when his Toyota Camry was struck by a big rig driven by Reynaldo Mendez Avalos, 56, of Napa.
The big rig then crashed into an Acura RSX driven by Muhammad Ali, 27, of American Canyon.
The impact of the collision sent the big rig off the roadway where it crashed into a barn.
Ali, Ozlati and his wife, 82-year-old Nezhati Ozlati of Sonoma, were injured in the crash and were taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Mendez Avalos was unhurt.
