2 Killed in Sacramento Car Accident Involving Big Rig on Highway 16 near Nest Road


Sacramento, California (December 3, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic crash that happened on Tuesday morning in Sacramento, claiming the lives of two people.

The fatal accident occurred at about 10:19 a.m. on Highway 16 near Eagle Nest Road.

As per a police report, a big rig and a Honda sedan collided on the highway for unknown reasons.

The Honda driver and a passenger were killed in the crash.

The names of the deceased were not released pending notification of next-of-kin.

No additional information concerning the accident was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
