Los Alamos, California (December 3, 2019) – A 16-year-old boy from Oxnard was killed in a two-vehicle accident that happened on Saturday night in Los Alamos, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash occurred at about 6 p.m. on Highway 101 at Cat Canyon Road near Orcutt.
The CHP said a blue 2004 Toyota Camry driven by Rosalio Gutierrez, 46, was attempting to make a left turn onto the northbound side of the highway when his car was broadsided by a Honda Accord driven by Francisco J. Gomez, 50.
The boy, who was riding in the Camry, sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Marian Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Francisco, his two passengers and Gutierrez sustained minor injuries and were taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
No further information was provided.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
