Coachella, California (December 1, 2019) – 39-year-old Anya Salomon has been identified as the woman who was fatally struck by a train on Monday afternoon in Coachella.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened at 51701 Grapefruit Boulevard near Avenue 52 at about 1:58 p.m. November 25.

The California Highway Patrol said 39-year-old Anya Salomon was walking in the area when she was hit by a train.

Anya was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was provided.

The Coachella Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
