Suspect in The Hague Knife Attack Arrested by Dutch Police

A Boy and Two Girls Wounded in the Knife Attack


A man has been arrested by the Dutch police in connection with a knife attack that happened on a shopping street in The Hague on Friday.

The suspect is reported to have stabbed a boy aged 13 and two girls aged 15, leaving them seriously wounded. The unidentified victims have since been treated and discharged from the hospital.

The attack happened at about 19:45 (18:45 GMT) at the Hudson’s Bay store in the city’s main market square.

The suspect, whose area of residence was not immediately disclosed, was arrested and taken in for questioning.

The authorities said it was too early to speculate if the attacker had a terror motive.
