Kevin Lentz Killed in Escondido Bicycle Accident on La Honda Drive, Jamison Connor Arrested


Escondido, California (November 29, 2019) – The authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal bicycle that occurred last weekend in Escondido.

According to a local news source, the bicycle accident happened at about 11:52 a.m. November 23, in the 1600 block of La Honda Drive.

The California Highway Patrol said 36-year-old Kevin Lentz of Vista was riding a bicycle southbound on La Honda Drive when he was hit by a dark-colored Toyota sedan.

Lentz succumbed to injuries he sustained in the accident.

41-year-old Jamison Connor was arrested on Thursday after he reportedly fled the scene of the accident.

No further information was provided.      

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
