Sheriff’s Deputy Injured in Whittier Car Accident at Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway


Whittier, California (November 29, 2019) – A Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputy was injured in a car accident at an intersection in Whittier on Wednesday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:03 p.m. November 27, in the area of Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway.

A black Toyota Rav4 SUV and a marked LASD patrol were involved in the accident.

Although the manner in which the collision occurred was not immediately established, the police patrol car is reported to have overturned after the collision.

The officer sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
