San Jose, California (November 26, 2019) – A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car on
Thursday morning in San Jose was identified as 79-year-old Thanh Vu.
fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 8:20 a.m. November 21, in the 500
block of McLaughlin Avenue near East William Court.
per a local news report, a woman waiting to make a turn onto McLaughlin Avenue
from a residential driveway when she accidentally shifted into reverse and hit
the pedestrian who was walking behind the car.
suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he died on
driver reportedly stopped after the accident and cooperated with the
police said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the accident.
