San Diego, California (November 26, 2019) – A 4-year-old boy and a woman were injured in a collision involving a big rig on Monday morning in Kearny Mesa, San Diego.
According to the authorities, the incident was reported at about 9:30 a.m. November 25, on northbound SR-163 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
CHP said a 35-year-old San Diego woman was driving her Mazda sedan northbound when she was struck by a truck.
The paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the woman to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
A boy in the car was rushed to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver, who was unhurt, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
