3 Injured in Modesto Car Crash at Blue Gum Avenue and North Carpenter Road


Modesto, California (November 24, 2019) – Three people were injured in a car crash involving a stolen car on Sunday afternoon in Modesto, according to the Modesto Police Department.

The accident happened at the intersection of Blue Gum Avenue and North Carpenter Road at about 3 p.m.

As per the police report, the suspect was driving the stolen car northbound on Diable Avenue at a high rate of speed when he ran a stop sign and crashed into a second vehicle with two occupants.

The suspect suffered severe head injuries while the other two victims sustained moderate injuries.

The police arrested the driver of the stolen car before he was taken to the hospital for treatment in critical condition.

The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
