California (November 23, 2019) – According to the California Highway
Patrol, one person was killed in a head-on collision involving a transit bus in
Pollock Pines on Wednesday, November 20.
The fatal collision happened at about 3 p.m. on Pony Express Trail near Gilmore Road.
CHP said a westbound El Dorado Transit bus collided head-on with an eastbound pickup truck that had reportedly drifted across the double yellow line.
The pickup truck driver was killed
in the accident.
The identity of the deceased
was not immediately disclosed.
The condition of the bus driver was unknown at the time of reporting.
