Oakland, California (November 22, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car in Oakland on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:58 p.m. November 20, on 880 Freeway near 66th Avenue.

A motorcycle, an SUV and a third vehicle were involved in the collision.  However, the events leading to the collision were not immediately established.

The rider is reported to have suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
