Two People Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 29 near Bale Lane in St.Helena Identified


St. Helena, California (November 19, 2019) –Two people who were killed in a car accident on Tuesday morning in St. Helena have been identified as 68-year-old Andress Hatch of Yountville and 32-year-old Jonathan Thorn of Lower Lake.

The fatal accident happened at about 2:10 a.m. on Highway 29 near Bale Lane.

According to the CHP, Hatch was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic southbound when he swerved into the opposite lanes for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a northbound 2010 Toyota Prius driven by Thorn.

Hatch and Thorn were pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional details regarding the crash were provided.

The deadly collision is under investigation.
