San Jose, California (November 18, 2019) – A toddler was killed in a pedestrian accident on Sunday afternoon in San Jose.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at the intersection of Banff Street and Danube Way near Interstate 680 Freeway at about 2:39 p.m. November 17.
The California Highway Patrol said the 2-year-old boy was with his family who were loading their car.
The boy is reported to have run between two parked cars and was hit by a passing 2018 Dodge pickup truck.
The boy, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
