Police say a teen injured his legs when he jumped from an airport terminal Monday afternoon as he ran away from law enforcement to escape arrest.
Oklahoma City Police Department said the 16-year-old male was on a United flight 5706 from Houston to Oklahoma.
According to the report, when the plane landed in Oklahoma City at about 1:45 p.m., the teen, knowing he was going to be arrested, decided to slip through a crack in the jet bridge and ran across the tarmac.
Airline, airport, and law enforcement chased the teen, and he climbed on top of the terminal building. He attempted to jump to the ground and injured his legs.
The teen, who was wanted on a warrant for second-degree burglary out of Cleveland County, was removed from the scene on a stretcher.
He was arrested and taken to a local hospital.
Airport authorities said the incident did not disrupt operations.
