Bakersfield, California (November 18, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a bicyclist who was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Bakersfield earlier this month.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicycle accident happened in the 400 block of South P Street at about 10:42 p.m. November 3.
CHP said Andrew Gaudian of Bakersfield was riding a bicycle on the roadway when he was struck by Dodhe Charger.
The bicyclist was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The motorist, 23-year-old Marco Alatorre, fled the scene after the accident but was arrested on Saturday, November 16.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
