(November 17, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one
person was killed in a car accident that occurred in Oakdale on Sunday morning.
The fatal accident happened at about 8:45 a.m. November 17,
on Highway 118 near Lancaster Road between Oakdale and Knights Ferry.
As per the report, a westbound Toyota pickup truck and a newer-model Nissan Rogue that was traveling eastbound collided head-on on the roadway for unknown reasons.
The driver of the pickup truck was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
A passenger in the pickup truck and the driver of the Nissan
were injured in the accident.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
