(November 15, 2019) – A woman and two children were injured in a car accident
in Merced on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Williams Avenue near Tegner Road at about 8:07 a.m.
46-year-old Jose Mena of Hilmar was driving a tractor
eastbound on the roadway when he was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado
driven by 48-year-old Susan Cabral Yori, of Hilmar.
Yori was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to
Memorial Hospital in Modesto for treatment.
A 16-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy who were riding in
the Chevy sustained major injuries and were taken to Valley Children’s
Mena was unhurt.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
