Steven Flemming Killed and Girl Killed in Car Crash on Pass Road near West Butte Road in Yuba City


Yuba City, California (November 16, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a motorist who was killed in a head-on collision in Yuba City, Sutter County, on Thursday evening.

According to a local news source, the fatal car accident happened at about 4:50 p.m. November 14, on Pass Road near West Butte Road.

The California Highway Patrol said 48-year-old Steven Luke Flemming of Yuba City was driving a 2006 Honda eastbound when he collided head-on with a 2019 Honda driven by a 17-year-old girl from Live Oak.

The authorities did not immediately disclose which vehicle drifted into the opposite lanes.

Flemming and the teenage driver were killed in the accident.

A passenger in the second car, identified only as a 17-year-old girl from Yuba City, sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
