Chollas View, California (November 16, 2019) – One of the two pedestrians who were struck and injured by a car in Chollas View on Monday night has been identified as 34-year-old Maria del Carmen Maldonado.

The pedestrian accident happened on 47th Street near Market Avenue at about 7:50 p.m. November 4, according to a local news source.

As per the report, Maldonado and her husband Manuel Salinas were crossing the street when they were hit by a Cadillac.

Maldonado and the second pedestrian were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The couple’s children Yoselyn Diaz and Jazmin Diaz who were also crossing the street were unhurt.

The motorist stopped at the scene after the accident and cooperated with the authorities.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
