2 Killed in Sutter County Car Accident on Pass Road, November 14


Sutter County, California (November 16, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic accident that claimed the lives of two people on Thursday evening in Sutter County.

As per a police report, the accident happened at about 4:50 p.m. on Pass Road.

CHP said a 48-year-old man was driving a 2006 Honda eastbound on Pass Road while at the same time, a 17-year-old girl was driving a 2019 Honda westbound on the roadway.

For unknown reasons, one driver swerved into the opposite lanes and collided with the other vehicle.

Both motorists were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old passenger in the 2019 Honda sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to Rideout Hospital for treatment.

The police said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
