Pedestrian Airlifted after Being Hit by Car on Highway 49 near Pesce Way in Sonora


Sonora, California (November 16, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, at least one person was injured in a car accident in Sonora on Friday evening.

The accident happened on Highway 49 near Pesce Way at about 6:33 p.m. November 15.

A pedestrian was reportedly walking in the area when he was hit by a car.

The pedestrian sustained unspecified injuries and was transported flown to a local hospital for treatment.

The identity of the pedestrian was not immediately disclosed.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
