Watsonville, California (November 15, 2019) – Several people were injured in a car accident in Watsonville on Thursday morning.

According to a local news source, the accident happened on Freedom Boulevard between Lincoln Street and Stanford Street at about 7 a.m. November 14.

 The California Highway Patrol said a white SUV attempting to make an illegal U-turn when it was struck by a black SUV.

The black SUV veered off the roadway after the collision and crashed into a parked car and a building.

The impact of the collision caused the parked car to crash into a light pole.

The authorities said multiple people were hurt in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
