City Heights, California (November 12, 2019) – A 75-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a car in in City Heights on Wednesday evening.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 5:10 p.m. on Orange Avenue near Central Avenue.

San Diego police said a man was using a walker and was crossing the road when he was hit by a Mitsubishi Gallant driven by a 74-year-old woman.

The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The condition of the motorist was not immediately established.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
