Riverside, California (November 13, 2019) – A woman was killed in a car accident that left four other people injured in Riverside on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Main Street near Garner Road at about 6 p.m. November 12.
CHP said a 32-year-old Colton woman was driving a Kia southbound on the roadway when she drifted into the opposite lanes for unknown reasons and collided with a commercial vehicle.
The Kia then crashed into a Nissan.
The unidentified woman was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
Four children who were riding in the Kia were transported to Loma Linda Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The drivers of the other two cars were unhurt.
No further information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
