Irvine, California (November 13, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Irvine on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Barranca Parkway and Jeffrey Road at about 2:24 p.m. November 12.

CHP said a pedestrian was walking in the area and was struck by a car for unknown reasons.

The paramedics who responded to the incident performed CPR on the injured pedestrian. Sadly, the unidentified pedestrian succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.

Information about the motorist was not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
