Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car on Broadway at San Marino Avenue in San Gabriel


San Gabriel, California (November 12, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a car on Friday evening at the intersection of San Gabriel, the police said.

The fatal pedestrian accident was reported on Broadway at San Marino Avenue at about 5:37 p.m. November 8.

The California Highway Patrol said a man was crossing the intersection when a pickup truck struck him.

The paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The name of the deceased has not been disclosed pending notification of next-of-kin.

The authorities said the involved driver fled the scene after the crash. However, the driver later returned and was not arrested.

No further details regarding the accident were available.

The accident remains under investigation.
