Morongo Valley, California (November 11, 2019) – A man died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday
evening in Morongo Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol,
the accident happened at about 6:50 p.m. November 9, on Highway 62 at Lanning
CHP said a man was attempting to cross the highway when an eastbound 2001 Toyota Avalon XL driven by a 63-year-old woman struck him.
The pedestrian, described only as a man in his
60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver sustained face, shoulder, and chest
injuries and was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The identities of both victims were not
The accident remains under investigation.
