Woman Killed in Nevada City Pedestrian Accident at Highway 49 and Newtown Road


Nevada City, California (November 10, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Sunday afternoon in Nevada City.

According to the California Highway Patrol Grass Valley Division, the accident happened at about 5:40 p.m. November 10, at the intersection of Highway 49 and Newtown Road.

A 49-year-old woman was walking in a crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound pickup truck driven by a 45-year-old Grass Valley.

The woman was killed in the accident.

The identities of the woman and the motorist were not immediately provided.

No further information concerning the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
