2 Injured in Car Crash on Highway 101 near Highway 166 in Santa Maria


Santa Maria, California (November 11, 2019) – Two people were injured in a high-speed chase in Santa Maria early Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5 a.m. on Highway 101 near Highway 166.

CHP said two vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the involved vehicles had been travelling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.

Two people were reportedly injured in the crash. The extent of the injuries sustained by the victims was not immediately provided.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
