Man Injured in Car Crash at Belmont Avenue and Millbrook Avenue in Fresno


Fresno, California (November 11, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after a car accident that left at least two people injured in Fresno on Saturday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. at Belmont Avenue and Millbrook Avenue.

CHP said 53-year-old Salvador Marquez ran a red light at the intersection and struck a second car.

Marquez’s van reportedly overturned after the collision.

A man in the second vehicle was seriously injured in the accident ad was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Marquez reportedly fled after the accident but was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

CHP said the collision also ruptured a gas line.
