Major Injuries Reported in Fiery Bakersfield Car Accident on Kimberlina Road near Highway 99

At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Collision Involving Semi-Truck in Bakersfield


Bakersfield, California (November 7, 2019) – A major injury car accident was reported on Kimberlina Road in Bakersfield on Thursday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 9:18 p.m. on Kimberlina Road near Highway 99 and Highway 43.

 A semi-truck and a second car were involved in the collision. Although the manner in which the accident happened was not immediately established, the semi-truck is reported to have caught fire after the accident.

Multiple Kern County Fire Department responded to the incident.

Major injuries were reported in the accident and a medical helicopter was called to the scene.
