Woman Injured in Mira Mesa Pedestrian Accident on Camino Ruiz near Carroll Canyon Road


Mira Mesa, California (November 6, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured after being hit by an SUV in Mira Mesa, San Diego, on Monday evening.

According to a local news source, the accident happened in the 9900 block of Camino Ruiz near Carroll Canyon Road at about 6:40 p.m. November 4.

A 47-year-old woman was driving a Lexus 350 SUV northbound on the roadway when she struck a 20-year-old woman.

The unidentified woman sustained major injuries including two fractured femurs and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

No further information was provided.

An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
