Man Hit, Killed by Car on Maple Avenue near Olive Avenue in Fresno


Fresno, California (November 6, 2019) – The police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened on Tuesday night in Fresno.

The accident happened at about 9:00 p.m. November 5, on Maple Avenue, just north of Olive Avenue.

CHP said a man in his 50s was struck by a truck while walking down the roadway.

The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he later died while undergoing treatment.

The name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. The truck driver stopped after the crash and cooperated with the authorities.

No further information concerning the accident was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
