Petaluma, California (November 4, 2019) – A man who died in a traffic collision on Friday afternoon in Petaluma has been identified as 59-year-old Sterling Dabner.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the collision occurred at about 2:30 p.m. November 1, on Lakeville Highway.
CHP said Dabner was driving a Jeep when, for unknown reasons, he slammed into a Chevrolet Tahoe.
The impact ejected Dabner from his vehicle.
The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chevrolet driver was sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The identities of the victims of the crash were not immediately disclosed.
No further information concerning the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
