California (November 3, 2019) – The identities of the victims of a fatal
car accident that happened in Bakersfield on Friday afternoon, November 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident
happened on Highway 99 near Rosedale Highway at about 12:26 p.m.
CHP said a semi-truck was traveling southbound on Highway 99
when it failed to slow for traffic and rear-ended a Dodge Ram pickup truck
occupied by Kathy McNutt and her boyfriend Harold Goldman.
The impact of the collision pushed the pickup truck into the
rear of a semi-truck in front of it.
McNutt and Goldman were killed in the accident.
The condition of the semi-truck driver, a resident of New
York, was not immediately disclosed.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
